This guy (who used to work for Apple) makes a lot of sense when he's talking about interface design. His site's been up for years, but I only rediscovered it while delving into the depths of my bookmarks file from many moons ago. Number One on this page is particularly mind bending, and involves Fighter jets and shooting at schools (you may well remember the incident yourself).
