Got bored. Added another screenshot. This one's only 800x600, as my big(ish) Iiyama display has died. I'm typing this on an unbranded 15in piece of crap which needs its focus adjusted. It's probably cooking my brain with X-Ray radiation as I type.
Anyone got a spare 17 inch CRT? No? Worth a shot.

I've just noticed that Internet Explorer(/Exploiter/Exploder/whatever) doesn't handle transparency in PNG files. Hence, if you're reading this in IE, the penguin on the left will have a white background. It shouldn't. I suppose I could use a GIF (which IE I believe renders properly), but I'm avoiding patented formats on principle (GIFs use the LZW compression system which is patented).
The MP3 file of 'Foundations' (on the audio page) is an exception, as it is really the only tool for the job. When the majority of media players support Ogg, then I'll change it.
What was that? The JPEGs on the Photos page? Yeah, I know. JPEG (actually JPEG is the name of the committee who came up with the standard, the files should really be called JFIF) really is the only format suitable for this sort of thing. For example, one of the 210x158 thumbs on the Photos page is 10k as a JPEG. It's 67k as a PNG.

I'm reliably informed that the powers that be at H.M. Treasury have, for reasons best known to themselves, deemed this very site to be Not Safe For Work. I.e. it would appear that you can't browse to this site from computers on the Treasury's network.
I would imagine the goatse (and perhaps tubgirl) references have something to do with this. Perhaps, though, the scripts on the Linux page were deemed too dangerous for the number monkeys working for Her Maj. to have access to(?). The rumours must be true.
Le'me hear a 'Yay' for censorship!
Update: Turns out my source wasn't as reliable as I had initially hoped. Move along please; nothing to see here.

ILikeJam is in mourning. A very good friend died the night before last. He will be sorely missed.

Good morrow. The web protest is over, so I've reinstated this page as the front page. It's highly unlikely anyone even noticed that I was protesting, because for most of the duration, Pipex's web servers fell over and remained in an over-fallen state. Today's the first day in about a week that I've managed to get either http or ftp access. Oh well.

Another screenshot. One for the Simpsons fans out there.

Break out the bubbly - I've reached 500 posts on LinuxQuestions.
The offending post is here.
You can have a look at everything I've had to say here.

New screenshot - it's the one with the grey background. Get it while it's hot. Prizes for guessing which link to follow will not be forthcoming.
And yes, it IS supposed to be that long, because I have attained the badassery known as dual-head configuration. And yes, two monitors ARE better than one. And yes, two monitors help keep the room nice and warm. And yes, I have mentioned this before.
I've also put up an ISO Standard 'My PC' page. See 'The ILikeJam box' for further geekery.

Ha ha. Just found this. I really don't think it's been Photoshopped. Magic.
As if that's not enough, I put a new screenshot and some other stuff in the Linux section.
Because I could.
So I did.

Ah, bugger. Looks like I will not be playing at RG's. Turns out a mate's getting married in Edinburgh that day. How dare he. No consideration. Looks like my partner in crime (everyone say 'Hi Graham') will be on his lonesome. He could do with the practise if you ask me... ;)

Well now, playing at 'RG's' (see below) on 28th of this month.
So?
Glad you asked. This one's open to the public. Sounds like the start of a tiny wee club, no? Bear in mind we're not getting any sort of renumeration for this, but feel free to come along and throw fruit / gesticulate / buy drinks / maybe even dance (!).

Ooh. Just noticed the date. I even wrote it without the first two digits of the year for added effect.
This is in fact the most exciting thing which has happened to me all week. Christ. Anyone got any psychoactive pharmaceuticals to combat the boredom? All answers on a postcard, if you would.
